Alex G. Peterson Sensei Peterson began aikido training at Salt Lake City Aikikai. He then apprenticed for three years as a kenshusei or Instructor Trainee at San Diego Aikikai under T.K. Chiba, Shihan (personal student of O'Sensei, and director of Birankai International). He also trained and taught at various dojos including Capital Aikikai, DC; Aikido of Charlottesville, VA; Gold Coast Aikikai, FL; Aikido Institute of Miami, FL; and Dynamic Zen Aikido, FL. Sensei Peterson is a 4th Dan, Shidoin and is certified to teach by the United States Aikido Federation, Birankai International and International Aikido Federation. Ed Hernandez Sensei Hernandez started his training in Misawa, Japan in 1989. Shortly afterwards he moved to Rota, Spain where he met Gus Rodriguez Sensei. He trained under the guidance of Sensei Rodriguez until 1994. He was awarded his 1st Dan by Yasunari Kitaura Shihan of the Asociacion Cultural Aikikai de Espana in 1994. He has trained in several dojo's due to his military service in the Marine Corps and has made New River Aikikai his home. |
